How to Use Our Clippers and Trimmers
Learn how to get the best performance from your tools, avoid common mistakes, and use each product the way it’s designed.
Common mistakes to avoid
Foil shavers
Foil shavers are designed for finishing only. Always trim first, then use the shaver to remove leftover stubble. Using them on long hair can cause pulling, irritation, and poor performance.
T-Shaper expectations
The T-Shaper is a beginner tool with a softer blade. It is not fully zero gapped out of the box and is built for comfort, not aggressive cutting.
Darkstar trimmers
Darkstar 72 and 82 trimmers are built for debulking, not lineups. Use them for bulk removal, not detailed edge work.
Tool not turning on
Some tools have a travel lock. Press the power button 3 to 4 times quickly to unlock before use.
Pro tips
Cleaning
Do not spray directly onto tools. Remove the blade and clean separately to avoid internal damage.
Oiling
Avoid over oiling. Too much oil can seep inside and affect performance.
Blade setup
Always check and adjust your blade before use. Preset blades may not match your preference.
Water exposure
Not all tools are waterproof. Always check specs before exposing your tool to water.
Get the most out of your tools
