Pro Tips
Blade Maintenance
Clean your blades regularly with a brush and dry cloth to remove hair and buildup. For deeper cleaning, remove the blade, disinfect, and apply a few drops of oil along the teeth (not near screws). For clippers: use three drops while running, then wipe off excess.
Blade Alignment
Make sure the moving blade sits evenly behind the fixed blade without extending past it. Misalignment can cause the blade to pull or irritate the skin. Proper alignment means both blades are level and parallel, with no side sitting higher than the other.
Zero Gapped
Clippers: Set your lever to the shortest (closed) position. Loosen the screws and adjust the fixed blade until it’s almost touching the moving blade. A true zero gap means both blade tips are perfectly even. Once aligned, tighten the screws—don’t over-tighten—and make sure the blades are straight.
Trimmers: Remove both blades. Loosen the screws on the moving blade so it can slide. Adjust it until the blade tips are nearly or fully even, but never let the moving blade go past the fixed one. When you’re happy with the alignment, tighten the screws and check they’re straight.
